Granting Escapes would not be possible without the help of our donors. If you can’t give money outright – get creative – do what others have done and throw us a fundraiser or host a party and invite all of your friends and feel good about raising money for an organization devoted to creating joy for people who often don’t have much to smile about. Akron resident Harold Johnson teamed up with a Canton paintball company (Intense Paintball) and invited a group of friends to play paintball. Another asked his Crossfit gym to host a workout to raise money to help us grant our next experience. Get inspired and think outside the box!
For example, on April 13, 2013, Vickie, Life Is Good No Matter What’s first recipient, hosted a fundraiser at the Sandusky State Theatre in Sandusky, Ohio, to help us raise funds for our next recipient. Over 200 people attended this amazing fundraiser which raised approximately $5000. Ashley Sneider (12, daughter of Holly) gave a tear jerking and moving speech about her mom.
