Santiago’s escape was to Texas with his beautiful wife to visit with family they have not seen in many years.
“Because of my battle with cancer, I was not able to get away to see my family in Texas in many years. I had so much fun and got to forget about the label cancer gives a person. The time we had in Texas was something I will always cherish!”

“When we found out that my ovarian cancer would continue coming back, it was like getting sentenced to the death penalty. But worse than that, there was no telling how long this would go on. No one could give me a date saying when this would end.
All the while, I was trying to make sure our son lived a normal life - one in which he has no worries about his mom being sick all the time. I wanted to give him a life where our family goes on vacations and visits amusement parks like other “normal” families do. Unfortunately, due to chemotherapy schedules and medical bills, these types of extras were just out of our reach – until we heard from Life Is Good No Matter What. It was like a miracle. Suddenly, we were going to Disney World!
This trip was something we couldn’t have done on our own. I have never felt more blessed and been more thankful. For four days I was able to see the two most important people in my life smile, laugh and just have fun, with no worries. I felt like the luckiest person in this world and I will never forget the time we had.
Life Is Good No Matter What is an amazing organization that truly makes dreams come true. They provided a light at the end of a seemingly endless tunnel, even if it was just for a moment. I don’t have words to thank them for what they did for my family.”
